Dagoretti

A leadership that is all-inclusive in decision making, a leadership committed to creating new opportunities and restoring the people’s lost dignity by upgrading the living standards for all in Dagoretti is my vision.

My candidature boldly and courageously challenges the long held belief that leadership is a preserve of an elite class.  I also stand to be counted as one among those in our generation who seek to occasion the beginning of a culture of inter-generational transitions in the political leadership of the country.

I believe that leadership should be founded on a genuine love for people, a commitment to sacrifice and servitude. Focused leadership should not only envision collective goals of a people but also map out a clear course to follow to achieve a people’s collective aspirations.  It should be visionary and inspiring.

After my 5-year term as the Dagoretti’s representative in the 10th parliament, My performance shall be measured against the fulfillment of the following:

• Prudent, transparent, accountable and professional management of the Constituency Development Funds, Roads Board funds, LATF and Bursaries.

• Rehabilitation and development of the infrastructure including but not limited to roads, street lighting, drainage and sewerage systems.

• Improving the learning conditions in existing schools and post-secondary school institutions within the constituency.

• Improving and where necessary upgrading healthcare centers in Dagoretti constituency.

• Address the perennial and persistent piped water problems in the constituency.

• Address the declining security situation in Dagoretti.

• Re-focusing the constituents’ active attention on our role in environmental conservation.

• Aggressively assist our women, community based organizations and the youth access the knowledge financing necessary for running sustainable projects.

• Form professional panels of Lawyers, Engineers, Doctors etc that offer community services to their fellow constituents and also play an advisory role in the decision making process of the constituency’s administration.

• To pro-actively champion for societal values.

• Involve Dagoretti constituents living in the Diaspora in the development of our constituency.

I passionately carry the Kenyan dream in my heart.  I believe that there is enough in this country for each and every one of us, but not enough for even one greedy person.  I believe that leadership is not about tokenism in return for votes and I believe that leadership should be all-inclusive.

We can make a better Dagoretti, We can build a better Kenya.
